Everything you need to know to use SmartVault.
App: SmartVault (com.skywalker.smartvault)
SmartVault is a secure, offline-first password manager for Android. All your data is stored on your device and encrypted with AES-256-GCM — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
SmartVault is fully translated into 6 languages: English 🇬🇧, Bahasa Melayu 🇲🇾, Deutsch 🇩🇪, Français 🇫🇷, Español 🇪🇸 and 日本語 🇯🇵. By default the app follows your device language. To change it quickly, tap the flag 🇬🇧 shown at the top of the vault screen twice — it cycles to the next language each time (English → Bahasa Melayu → Deutsch → Español → Français → 日本語 → English). You can also open the vault menu → Language (or the About screen → Language) and pick your preferred language.
The lock screen shows the SmartVault vault door. To open it:
If you enter the wrong PIN, you can simply try again. SmartVault never sends your PIN anywhere.
Tap the + (Add) button on the main screen to create a new entry, or tap any entry to edit it.
Pick the category that best fits the entry. Each category shows only the relevant fields:
Fields marked with a red * are compulsory and must be filled before saving. Fields without an asterisk are optional. Example placeholder text inside each field shows what to type.
You can add your own label/value pairs for any extra information (see section 6).
Tap an entry in the list to see its full details. Sensitive values are masked (for example ••••).
In the New/Edit entry dialog, scroll to the Custom fields section and tap Add custom field. Type a label (e.g. "Branch Code") and a value. Custom fields are encrypted with the rest of the entry, are included in backups, and can be searched. Labels must be unique within an entry.
From the menu choose Backup. SmartVault creates an encrypted .pvault file and opens the Android share sheet — send it to your cloud storage, email, or another device. Keep it safe; it contains everything. You can also enable Weekly Auto-Backup from the menu, which creates an encrypted backup in the app's private storage every 7 days and keeps the latest 4.
From the menu choose Restore and pick a .pvault file. You will be asked:
Make the lock screen your own: from the menu choose Wallpaper, pick an image from your gallery, crop it, and set the opacity. The wallpaper is stored on your device only.
SmartVault gives you a full 30-day free trial with all features. When the trial ends you can buy the app once (no subscription) through Google Play:
.pvault backup. From the menu choose Remove SmartVault. SmartVault warns you that uninstalling permanently deletes all vault data, and offers to create a backup first. Choose Backup first to keep a copy, or Continue to uninstall to proceed.
