Effective date: 12 August 2026
App: SmartVault (com.skywalker.smartvault)
SmartVault is a secure password and credential manager for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information SmartVault handles and how it is protected. It applies to the SmartVault mobile application published on Google Play.
The short version: SmartVault is designed to be private by default. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. All your data is stored on your device, encrypted, and never transmitted anywhere.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information or vault contents. Your passwords, PINs, bank account numbers, notes, and every other entry you store in SmartVault remain on your device.
SmartVault does not collect any personal data. There are no account sign-ups, no email addresses, no phone numbers, and no device identifiers sent to us. The app never asks for, uploads, or shares your vault contents.
The only information SmartVault handles is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:
Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app (or choosing "Remove SmartVault" from within the app) permanently deletes all of your data. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
If you enable fingerprint or face unlock, the check is performed entirely by your device's operating system (via Android's BiometricPrompt). SmartVault does not see, store, or transmit your biometric data — it simply receives a "success" or "failure" result from the system. Your PIN is stored only on your device using Android's secure storage.
SmartVault offers a one-time purchase through Google Play. The payment itself is processed entirely by Google. We never see your card number or payment details. Google's handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. All we receive is confirmation that the purchase succeeded, which unlocks the app on your device.
SmartVault communicates over the network only when processing a Google Play purchase. The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. Your vault data is never uploaded or transmitted.
You may choose to create a backup of your vault as a .pvault file. This file is fully encrypted and is generated on your device. You control where it goes — for example, to your own cloud storage, email, or a friend's phone. If you restore a backup, it is decrypted only on the device you restore it to. We have no access to backup files.
SmartVault requests only the permissions it needs to function:
It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, or SMS permissions.
SmartVault is safe for users of all ages because it collects no personal information. However, it is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. Because no personal data is collected, there is no data about children to collect or delete.
Since all data is stored on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting the app removes all vault data from your device. You may also delete individual entries, or create and keep your own encrypted backups, at any time. We hold no data of yours, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.
Your vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it touches storage. Unlocking requires your PIN (stored in Android's secure hardware-backed storage) or your device's biometrics. The app is built to keep your secrets on your device, encrypted at rest, with no connection that could leak them.
The only third-party service integrated into SmartVault is Google Play Billing, used solely for the one-time purchase. Google Play may collect information about your purchase and device as described in its own privacy policy. SmartVault has no other third-party integrations.
Because we do not hold your personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our servers. If you have questions about your data, the answer is always the same: it is on your device, and you control it — including through your own encrypted backups.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of SmartVault after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
SmartVault is developed and published by Skywalker Consortium (SSM Registration No. 202303102311), Block A8-3A, Jalan Selaman, 68000 Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia.
